Living Without Abuse (LWA) believes that all people have the right to live safely and without fear of violence and abuse. On this site we offer information and advice to anyone experiencing domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.  We can also provide support services to anyone living in Leicester, Leicestershire or Rutland.  We are committed to raising awareness of domestic abuse and sexual violence, working towards its prevention and eradication, and assisting those affected by this crime to determine their own lives.

THE MAYOR OF CHARNWOOD’S CHARITY DINNER RAISES £1474

 

 

It was a privilege and pleasure to organise the Mayor of Charnwood ‘s Charity Dinner on Friday night. Over 100 guests enjoyed a sumptuous 3 course meal at the Quorn Grange Hotel. We were entertained by Bill the Bagpiper, the Quorn Ukulele Orchestra, Bill the Bagpiper, Tim the Auctioneer and MC Andy.

 
In addition £1474 was raised for LWA plus over £600 raised for The Dog’s Trust.
 
Thank you Julie Bradshaw Mbe for choosing LWA as a charity for your civic year – you’ve made a huge difference.

 

 

 

 

British Gypsum’s Annual Bike Ride

The 26th July 2025 will mark the 16th anniversary of British Gypsum’s Annual Bike Ride from their plant in Barrow Upon Soar to Skegness and this year they are supporting LWA!
