Sexual Violence Service
The Amber Project is LWA’s sexual violence service. We offer support to adults and children, who live in Leicester City, Leicestershire or Rutland, with both current and historical sexual violence and abuse. All staff receive specialist training and are supported to deliver these services effectively.
Our services are independent from the Police and other statutory services but we can take referrals from these, or other professionals, as well as self-referrals.
The service includes ISVA workers for both adults and children and provide support as they go through the court process following a rape or sexual assault.
The service also includes Sexual Violence Workers who provide support to anyone who has experienced rape and/or sexual assault but the survivor does not want to, or is unable to, go to court.
